Camp Amidst Washington's Stunning Scenery at This Waterfront RV Resort

The state of Washington is a treasure trove of natural beauty including towering, glacier-topped mountains, one of the world’s longest beaches, lush rainforests, and a semi-arid eastern side that offers plenty of gems — including this lakeside spot that’s a perfect addition to your wine bucket list.

Washington seems to have something for everyone, which also makes it a premier destination for RVers. The rugged beauty found in the Evergreen State is perfect to explore via campervan, trailer, motorhome, and more, and one place to stop on your trip through the region is Waitts Lake RV Resort.

Situated on a picturesque, mountain-ringed lake about an hour north of the city of Spokane, Waitts Lake RV Resort offers both RV sites and cabins, and makes a perfect base of operations for exploring the area. Whether you’re into hiking, boating, fishing, mountain biking, or just the soothing medicine nature has to offer, this family-fun facility is both comfortable and rustic, with plenty of amenities to optimize your stay.

Enjoy a family-friendly resort on the shores of a cool mountain lake

Waitts Lake is a nearly 470-acre body of water near the town of Valley, Washington that attracts anglers for its healthy populations of fish. Waitts Lake RV Resort features 59 back-in RV sites with full-hookups, picnic tables, fire pits, and access to the complex’s amenities. Most sites offer views of the lakes (several are right on the shore) and pets are allowed. The property also boasts a number of cottages: three triplexes, two duplexes, and one rustic cabin, all of which come with private bathrooms and full-functional kitchens.

The resort also has its own boat launch as well as private fishing docks, as angling is the number one activity on Waitts Lake. The lake is home to both rainbow and brown trout, along with aggressive and spirited smallmouth bass, making it likely you’ll hook into a fish, whether you choose to cast from the dock, work the shoreline, or hit the water in a kayak or boat.

Other amenities at the resort include beach access, a pickleball court, foosball and ping pong tables, an event hall, laundry facilities, as well as a playground for kids. It’s a clean lake with water that stays chilly into the summer, but for those who enjoy a bracing, refreshing immersion, Waitts Lake is a terrific swimming lake once temperatures begin to soar.
