Would you like to travel, make new friends, see new places and build life-long professional and personal networks with Australia’s nearest neighbour? AIYEP provides all these opportunities and more, by offering young Australians (21 to 25 years old) fully-paid scholarships to join an Australia-Indonesia exchange program. Successful candidates will meet their Indonesian counterparts during their October orientation and later both groups will undertake predeparture training before traveling to Indonesia to live and work with host families and organisations for two months. As well as all the exciting possibilities that the AIYEP program opens up for participants, they will also earn an AFS Global Competence Certificate, delivered by AFS Australia alongside an international standard Intercultural Learning Project.
Past AIYEP participants have gone on to forge exciting careers in international relations, diplomacy, academia, private and public sectors and business in Australia, Indonesia and beyond. Click on the link below to read testimonies from past participants.
