Are you a veterinary medicine student or interested in that? If you really love being surrounded by paws and enjoy helping animals to have a better life by contributing to the diminishing of the overpopulation in the streets then this might be your thing.

The Foundation is a non-profit institution whose purpose is to help control the over-population of dogs and cats living in the streets of our country, or whose owners do not have enough resources to castrate, vaccinate and deworm them.

They have developed Sterilization Days, vaccinations and free or low-cost worming in Santo Domingo, Puerto Plata, Moca, Sosua, Rio San Juan, Bávaro, Punta Cana and Bayaguana, with the support of veterinarians, volunteers, professionals of all kinds and Donations from people who believe that animal health will give us better human health.

Your tasks are manifold. You support the organization in everything that comes up. You will be taught basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and the tasks that will gradually be built up.
Once or twice a month, campaigns take place that you prepare and carry out with you. One day a week, you will spend in schools where you give enlightenment lessons.
Furthermore, the foundation supports you in getting to know the culture of the Dominican Republic in more detail by carrying out various activities for this purpose.

You may choose to take part in this program for either 12 or 24 weeks. Please contact us for more details.
