Be part of an amazing new initiative, teaching English and conducting educational workshops with the Buddhist monks of Kamphong Cham, Cambodia.

Explore the beauty and untouched tropical beaches that Cambodia is famous for.

With a rich spiritual history of Hinduism and Buddhism, this project aims at developing the English literacy skills of the local Buddhist monks.

As a pioneer on this project you will be part of developing the foundation of a sustainable English language and literacy teaching project while sharing and improving your own teaching skills. Through improved English language skills, this project will assist in improving the lives and future employment opportunities for the Buddhist Monks of Cambodia.

Accommodation is in shared (usually same sex unless otherwise requested) rooms with shared bathroom facilities. We will provide bedding (sheets, pillows, pillowcases), but you are more than welcome to bring your own if you prefer (single bed). There is running water available for cooking and showers. Flush toilet facilities are available. Food will be cooked in traditional local style and vegetarians can be accommodated.

Social life

Further Side Trips: In preparation for the teaching project, you will receive a complete orientation session covering our health and safety guidelines and the necessary training you need to participate in our projects. As part of the orientation process you can look forward to a basic Khmer language lesson, a tour of the area you will be working in, and meeting our local partners.

A typical day could include anything from one-on-one educational lessons, conducting educational workshops or teaching a literacy class.
